Laura A. Panos

The firm’s principal and founder, Laura Panos, draws over 25 years of broad industry expertise in handling complex labor, employment and general business issues.  Prior to opening her own practice, Laura served as in-house counsel to several major corporations.

Laura is well versed in protecting the interests of her clients in a variety of business contexts.  Her clients range from small privately held companies to large publicly traded corporations as well as the representation of executives and employees at every level.  In addition to her litigation experience, Laura has defended harassment and discrimination claims at administrative agencies, and is frequently before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Laura is a dynamic, engaging public speaker on a variety of employment topics, including anti-harassment, office inclusion and workplace respect.

Laura provides routine counseling on human resources issues and risk management in connection with hiring, terminations, reductions in force, progressive discipline, leaves of absence, and other daily workforce issues. Laura has completed MCAD-certified training courses and regularly develops and delivers workforce training at all organizational levels on a variety of employment topics specific to clients’ needs.  In addition, she has significant management side labor experience, including successful representation in contract negotiations, arbitrations, and labor related matters in all areas of management representation.

Laura has significant expertise in strategic workplace guidance and severance negotiations. She provides situational workplace advice for employees committed to maintaining their positions, and assist others in planned and unplanned departures. Laura represents key employees, executives, professionals and staff in all aspects of workplace transition including salary, severance and equity terms. Laura regularly sees clients on episodic situational workplace issues and provides a thoughtful, intelligent approach to organizational navigation and guidance.

As an active member in the local community, Laura is affiliated with local boards and associations.  A graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Laura is a member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is admitted to the United States District Court of Massachusetts. In 2014, Laura was named as a Top Woman of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, an award honoring exceptional women who have made outstanding achievements in the field of law.
